Yahoo Buys Zimbra for $350M in Cash

Yahoo will now own Zimbra .

Zimbra is a e-mail software, it provided its user e-mail with calendar and mobile features.
One of the main feature of zimbra is that user can work off line also.  Zimbra gave branded e-mail service to roughly 9 million subscribers. One of the specific features of Zimbra is the t “Zimlet,” web service mashups.
Zimlet adds much functionality in e-mail. People can easily get any information like airline flight information  just by the mouse over  in an e-mail. It also empowered its user to track FedEx deliveries and get maps, stocks and other information in e-mail too.

The deal is suppose to be completed by the end of the year.Yahoo also purchase ad provider Blue Lithium. The deal cost around $300 . it shows that yahoo is now prepared to hit the market with full blow .Brad Garlinghouse senior vice president for communications and communities of Yahoo said “They illustrate the commitment to areas we feel are core strengths,” that is to provide better service to its user.
